You can decrease the scare meter by eating the Scooby snacks that Daphne provides you. Your meter can increase if you come into contact with an enemy or if you fall from a great height. In this game you have a scare meter that must be kept down or else you lose a life. And Daphne is there… to give you those oh so delicious Scooby snacks! Sounds like the usual episodes of “Scooby-Doo” huh? Arriving at the haunted amusement park Fred is there to help point you in the right direction, and he will come up with the traps to capture the monsters when the mysteries are just about solved. They then come across the monster of the day and a new mystery that needs to be solved.Īs Shaggy you mostly look around for clues with Scooby and bring them to Velma to solve the mystery. The group then decide to make a stop (On a haunted ship, at an amusement park, in a swamp and at a haunted house). You start off on the road in the Mystery Machine with the whole gang (Fred, Velma and Daphne).

I searched online for a Scooby-Doo game to play and found “Scooby-Doo Mystery” for the Super Nintendo. (Just without the candy…) In fact one of my fondest childhood memories was spending an entire day in front of the TV watching a “Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?” marathon. I thought of playing a Scooby-Doo game since as a kid, watching every episode of “Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?” felt like Halloween to me.
With October being the month of ghosts and ghouls, I wanted to play a game that fit the spirit of Halloween.
